For the last five months, Grace students engaged in historical research, interpretation, and creative expression in preparation for National History Day (NHD). This experience culminates in a series of contests from the local to the national level. Last year, three of our students placed at the district level. And judges selected one project to move on to the state-wide competition.
This year, the National History Day theme is Breaking Barriers in History. Students had the option to create a documentary, a paper, a performance, a website, or an exhibit to best communicate the extensive research that they conducted. Students proudly displayed their projects in Benedict Hall during an open house exhibit last Thursday, February 6th.They answered questions and shared their research with parents, teachers, staff, and fellow students.
