Alumni Spotlight

Brooke Remolde - Class of 2017
“I’ve had so many amazing memories at Grace. It truly is like home to me - it’s where I grew up! Even after graduating high school, I found myself coming back in different ways through helping teachers, summer camps, and even babysitting. Looking back at my experiences at Grace, it most definitely shaped who I am as a person. Grace is a small family, not just a small school, and that is what I find myself searching for now as I am looking for colleges, jobs, and even friends. I am so grateful for all of the experiences I’ve had over the years. Grace pushed me to excel not only in the classroom but also outside of it. Through extra tutoring, sports, clubs, and more I learned what I loved and what wasn’t for me. I miss Grace and wouldn’t change a thing. I’m so grateful my parents chose this school because it truly was such a great part of my life and still holds a special place in my heart today! Through working with kids and learning about my love for philanthropic opportunities, I have learned what I’m hoping to do in the future. I am majoring in communication with a minor in business in hopes to work in business and non-profits.”

Emma (Armstrong) Robinson - Class of 2012
“I feel so lucky to have made my childhood best friends while I was at Grace. I remember being so nervous because I didn’t know anyone when I started school. I quickly felt right at home at Grace! Caroline, one of my closest friends, inspired me to pursue a career in nursing. I am currently working at Mayo Clinic on the Hematology, Oncology, and Bone Marrow Transplant unit.”

Jacob Sharpe - Class of 2017
“I attended Grace Episcopal from PK all the way through 8th grade. In my time there, there were countless amazing memories and experiences. However, looking back there’s no one single memory that stands out, instead what I remember fondly are the friendships I was able to make along the way. I’m still very close to many of my classmates from my time there, and they continue to play a big role in my life. From an academic standpoint, what Grace does incredibly well is it sets a high level for all of its students. So when I began high school, I felt I had an advantage over other students, since I had been held to such an excellent level before. I credit much of my academic success to Grace Episcopal for that reason. Right now I’m in my senior year at the University of Florida, and I’m currently studying for the LSAT. My hope is to continue my education at UF’s Levin College of Law, where I’ll study environmental law. I’m also a member of Phi Sigma Pi, a nation-wide co-ed honors fraternity, where I serve on the executive board.”

Jillian Masterson - Class of 2020
“I grew up at Grace from PK3 through 8th grade and my favorite memory is the family that I created through the school. My classmates and teachers were always laughing and having fun together, creating such a fun and comforting environment. My friends and teachers were always so supportive of me and that support has continued even after I graduated from Grace. The school taught me to believe in myself and push toward my dreams. I am now in my freshman year at the University of Central Florida as a Biomedical Neuroscience major!”

Kris Sawicki - Class of 1997
"I attended Grace Episcopal from Pre-K through 2nd Grade (1997). My time there shaped me into the person I am today by instilling values of kindness, resilience, and a love of learning. Some of my favorite memories include the many field trips, holiday events, and amazing teachers - Mrs. Crumlish, Mrs. Lesak, and Mrs. Trice to name a few. The small class sizes and outdoor play areas under the oak trees enriched the experience. Afterwards, I studied Construction Management at UF before moving down to south Florida for work. I recently moved back to Jacksonville and plan to send our son to Grace when the time comes."

Seth Downing - Class of 2007
“I have many wonderful memories at Grace Episcopal. I still remember many of the songs! One of the things that I really appreciated about going to school at Grace was that I was provided with many opportunities to try new things. I was in band, Orff, and competed in track and field. That desire to explore different interests continued through middle school, high school, and college, eventually leading me to my current career path. I am currently a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at the University of Florida, and I am wrapping up my clinical training at the University of Chicago.”
