Volunteer Opportunities
Grace loves our parent and grandparent volunteers! And one of the great things about Grace is the volunteer support we have from our families. As our school grows, we want to make sure that we include our families in the planning and execution of activities on campus. Therefore, we include all parents and grandparents as part of our Parent’s Association.
Grace counts on our parents and grandparents to help make our school special by volunteering time throughout the school year. We would not be able to have each of the wonderful events at Grace without this support.
There are two ways to volunteer at Grace Episcopal Day School. You can chaperone a field trip or serve on a school committee.
Chaperone a Field Trip
Speak with your child’s classroom teacher about upcoming field trips. You must complete the Safeguarding online class to attend any field trip with Grace. If you are asked to transport children in your vehicle, you must also complete the Transporting Children Form and supply a copy of your driver’s license and proof of insurance to the front office.
Get Involved with the Grace Family Association
There are many opportunities for all Grace family members to get involved on campus. The Association meets quarterly, with committee meetings throughout the school year. Read the Eagle Extras school newsletter for meeting announcements and upcoming opportunities for involvement.
What is the Safeguarding God’s Children online class and how do I complete it?
Safeguarding Online teaches volunteers how to keep our children safe from abuse. It also teaches you how to protect yourself from false allegations of abuse. The step-by-step courses are interactive and easy to understand. The program is Internet-based so you can access it anytime, from anywhere. Please contact Ginger Neitzke in the office (gneitzke@geds.net or 904-269-3718) to register for the Safeguarding online class.
