It’s time to think about registering for after school activities again!
We are excited to offer golf lessons, chess lessons, cheerleading, and the Get Messy With It Club. Activities will begin the week of October 18th and go until Christmas. Chess will continue into January. Please click on the box at the bottom to register your child.
Here’s a brief description of each:
Get Messy With It w/ Mrs. Lewis, 1st-4th, Mondays, 3:30-4:30 PM, (10/18, 10/25, 11/8, 11/15, 11/29, 12/6, 12/13) $100. Students will have an hour of organized messy play time including painting, slime making, and other messy crafts.
Golf Lessons @ Magnolia Point, 3rd-8th, Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00 PM, (10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14) $100. Parents will provide transportation to Magnolia Point. Golf Pro, Joe Porfidio will lead group lessons. Students need to bring their own clubs. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Mr. Porfidio at jporfidio@yahoo.com.
Cheer w/ Sra. Cid, Cheer w/ Sra. Cid, 2nd – 6th, Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-4:30 PM, (10/18, 10/20, 10/25, 10/27, 11/3, 11/8, 11/10, 11/15, 11/17, 11/29, 12/1, 12/6, 12/8, 12/13, 12/15), $125. Cheer has become so popular, we’re adding another day! Learn some basic cheers and dance moves with Senora Cid and get the opportunity to cheer at a Grace sporting event! Go Eagles!
Chess Scholars @ Grace, K-8th, Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 PM, (November 4th – January 20th, No class: 11/11, 11/25, 12/23, 12/30) $150. Grace is partnering with Chess Scholars to provide a fun-filled professional chess program for children in grades K-8. Develop your child’s intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children’s motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.
